How to install IPTV on MAG and Formuler box: 12 steps
Check what your box can really display
Picture quality starts with the hardware. The MAG 524 and MAG 540 decode HEVC and send 4K over HDMI, while the older MAG 250 and 254 top out at HD. Formuler: add a portal or Xtream login in MyTVOnline

Set 4K output and the right shape

The zone setting on a MAG lives under Advanced settings, inside Settings and System settings. Select your region and a menu language, save, and let the box reboot. The right zone keeps guide and replay lists on local airtimes. That matters for channels from another continent, because their listings are converted to your clock.
Formuler: fix the clock inside Android

Fixing common MAG and Formuler box problems
STB blocked or an empty portal screen
Activation may still be pending, or one character of the MAC was misread. Send support a fresh, sharp photo of the label. A corrected MAC is usually working again within a few minutes.
The portal loads but lists no channels
Reboot so the box asks the server for a new list. Compare the portal URL with the WhatsApp message one character at a time. If groups stay empty, ask support to refresh the account from their side.
A time synchronisation warning appears
The MAG sets its clock from an NTP server on the internet. Go to Settings, System settings, Servers, General and enter pool.ntp.org in the NTP field. Save and restart. Once the clock is right, the guide and replay lists line up again.
The loading circle never stops
Reseat the Ethernet plug firmly and confirm the router itself is online. Network Info in the MAG System settings shows whether an IP address was assigned. Reboot the box. If it still hangs, send a photo of the screen to support on WhatsApp.
4K channels look soft or blocky
Confirm the Video setting says 4K and the TV input is a UHD-capable HDMI port. Blocky patches in motion usually mean the line cannot hold about 25 Mbps, so test on a cable. An older MAG 250 or 254 cannot show UHD at all and plays the HD version instead.
Video plays with no sound
Pick another audio track in the playback menu, since the default may use a codec the box cannot decode. Check that the TV or soundbar is not muted. Then set the HDMI audio output on the box to a format your speakers accept. Test a second title to see whether only one file is affected.
The remote does nothing
Start with new batteries. Most MAG remotes are infrared, so point straight at the box with nothing blocking the path. When just a few buttons stop responding, worn contacts under the keypad are the usual cause, and a new remote fixes it without touching the box.
A channel shows no replays
Only archived channels offer replays, and every archive covers a limited window of days. A wrong date on the box hides past programmes, so check the clock first. If a channel that should have replays shows none, send support its name.
