How to install IPTV on Windows PC and Mac: 10 steps
Install IPTV Smarters Pro for desktop

Set subtitles and audio

Send the picture to your TV
An HDMI cable from the computer to the TV gives a lag-free picture at full resolution. Wireless options exist too: Win+K casts from Windows to a Miracast TV, and AirPlay sends a Mac picture to an Apple TV or a supported set. Wireless casting compresses the video, so use the cable for 4K and 8K.
Fixing common Windows PC and Mac problems
VLC lists channels but shows no picture
A long playlist takes time to load. Wait until the item count stops rising before clicking. If one entry still fails, try another quality of the same channel. One broken entry is a source issue, not an account issue.
Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer
SmartScreen warns about programs it sees rarely. If the file came from the official IPTV Smarters website, click More info, then Run anyway. Never download a player from pop-up portals, which often bundle adware with it.
Audio and lips drift apart
VLC has a shortcut for this: J and K nudge the sound backward or forward until mouths and words match. In Smarters, leaving the channel and opening it again normally fixes the offset. As a last resort, pick a different quality of that stream.
The web player will not accept the login
An old saved browser password may be filling the form. Delete the stored login and type the username and password again. If you are on the 1-device plan, make sure nothing else is playing at that moment, because a second session is refused.
macOS refuses to launch the app
Apple Gatekeeper stops apps it cannot check. Provided you downloaded the file from the official Smarters website, go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, scroll to the message naming the app and choose Open Anyway. Start it from Applications afterward.
4K stutters and the fan roars
The processor is decoding in software. Turn on hardware decoding, plug in the charger and close heavy browser tabs. If it still stutters, pick FHD or HD, since a laptop screen barely shows the difference and the stream needs a fraction of the bandwidth.
An 8K source drops frames
Check that the graphics chip supports 8K HEVC or AV1 decoding and that its driver is current. Use HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort, and a wired connection of roughly 50 to 100 Mbps. If any link falls short, choose the 4K copy, which plays smoothly on far more hardware.
Subtitles are missing in VLC
Check the Subtitle menu, then Sub Track, and pick a track in place of Disable. If the list is empty, the stream simply has no subtitle data. A VLC update through Help, Check for Updates brings support for newer caption formats.
Guide times are wrong in Smarters
Listings follow the computer clock, so check the automatic time zone setting first and refresh the guide. If one country group remains an hour off, the EPG Timeshift control in Smarters shifts it in whole hours.
