How to install IPTV on Roku: 10 steps

1. Look up your Roku model

   Open Settings, System, About to see the model name and the Roku OS version. That page tells you whether the device outputs 4K and whether Apple AirPlay is supported. Many older sticks only handle HD, so knowing the model now spares you from chasing a 4K picture it can never show.

The store player vanished

The phone cannot see the Roku

Win+K does not find the TV

Win+K relies on Miracast, so the laptop and the Roku both need to support it and share one network. A graphics or wireless driver update often brings the TV into the list. Desktop PCs without Wi-Fi cannot use it, but a plain HDMI cable does the same job.

A store app wants a fee before signing in

Some Roku apps charge for the player itself before accepting any login. A charge like that pays for the app and includes no channels. If an app asks for money before showing a sign-in screen, remove it and cast instead, or use a streamer with a free player.
