Set up Smart IPTV (SIPTV) with your Glomax8k login: 10 steps
Install SIPTV and photograph the MAC
Find Smart IPTV in the TV app store, install it and open it once. The first screen shows a MAC address in six pairs separated by colons. Take a photo of it with your phone right away. Reading twelve characters off a TV screen is where most failed uploads begin.
Upload the link at siptv.app/mylist
Open siptv.app/mylist in the phone browser. Enter the MAC exactly as the photo shows and paste your Glomax8k M3U link into the URL field. Tick Detect EPG so the guide travels with the list. On a TV with little memory, also tick Save online so the list is kept on the developer server. Then press Send.
Restart the app on the TV
Close Smart IPTV fully instead of pressing Back, then open it again. The app checks for a fresh playlist only while it is starting up. Groups appear first and guide rows follow. A large list can take a minute, so let it settle before you press any buttons.
Learn the remote layout
Use the arrows to travel through groups and channel names, and press OK to start whatever is highlighted. Where the list and the guide open differs a little between the Samsung, LG and Android versions. Spend a couple of minutes exploring alone, and you will be ready to guide everyone else at home.
Get the best picture from the TV
SIPTV hands decoding to the TV, so quality depends on the set. Most recent 4K Samsung and LG models decode HEVC and play UHD channels natively. Turn off motion smoothing if sport looks artificial, and use Movie or Filmmaker Mode for films. A wired connection keeps 4K steady, since each stream needs about 25 Mbps.
Set the TV clock and time zone
Because the app borrows the clock of the television, an incorrect zone pushes the whole guide out of line. Samsung owners find the setting at System Manager, Time, Clock. On LG with webOS 6 or newer the path is General, System, Time & Date, while earlier LG models place Time & Date straight inside General. Enable automatic time, then confirm the zone.
Know what SIPTV does and does not do
Think of Smart IPTV as a lean player for live channels that reads one playlist. Without an Xtream login, it cannot build film menus, season folders or a continue-watching row. The same lightness keeps it quick on older televisions. If you want replays and a proper film library on that TV, add a free Xtream-based player as well.
Check audio and subtitle options
During playback, look in the app menu for an alternative soundtrack; most live channels have only one. On Samsung and LG, the Accessibility caption settings are aimed at broadcast television. Inside SIPTV, whether subtitles show at all depends on each stream and on your model.
Pay the player fee after testing
At the end of the trial, open siptv.app/activation and pay using the MAC you uploaded to. The charge is 5.49 EUR per television, one time only, and the developer is clear that it includes no channels. You can pay by card without PayPal, or with crypto. Confirm your Glomax8k channels play well first, because the fee buys the app only.
Add more TVs and keep the link safe
A second or third television needs a separate SIPTV activation, because each licence belongs to one MAC. How many sets can stream at the same moment is decided separately, by your Glomax8k plan. There is no SIPTV account to fall back on, so the M3U link is the one thing you must not lose. Star it in WhatsApp and keep it out of public chats.
Fixing common Smart IPTV (SIPTV) problems
The site accepted the list but the TV shows nothing
Give it a minute, quit the app completely and launch it again. Compare every MAC pair on the website with your photo. Because SIPTV fetches lists at start-up, the previous playlist can linger until the app is restarted.
siptv.app will not accept the MAC
The website only recognises a TV after the app has run on it once. Open SIPTV, let the MAC screen appear, then submit the form again. Include the colons, and make sure a zero has not been typed as a capital O or the reverse.
Menus are slow on an older TV
Older sets run low on memory with big playlists. Upload again with Save online ticked, unplug the TV at the wall for a minute and close other apps. If it stays slow, message Glomax8k on WhatsApp and ask whether a slimmer list would suit that model better.
Every channel has an empty guide
Detect EPG was probably left unticked during the upload. Upload again with it ticked and restart the app. Allow several minutes for the very first batch of listings to arrive. If only one group stays blank, those channels publish no schedule.
A trial expired message stops playback
The notice comes from the app developer, who now wants the one-off licence fee; your Glomax8k subscription is fine. Pay at siptv.app/activation using the MAC on screen. Your plan dates do not change, and channels play again as soon as the developer confirms the payment.
The MAC changed after connecting a cable
A TV has separate network chips for Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and each has its own MAC. Upload the list to the address the app shows now. If you already paid on the other MAC, contact the SIPTV developer rather than paying twice.
Films and series clutter the channel list
An M3U file may place catalogue titles among the live channels, where SIPTV displays them as bare entries. If your version can hide groups, hide those, or ask support for a link that carries channels only. For proper film menus and search, use an Xtream player on the same TV.
Sound plays but the screen stays black
The TV may not decode that video format, often 4K HEVC on an older set. Pick the HD or FHD version of the channel instead. When a full category misbehaves like this on an elderly set, a 4K streaming stick with HEVC decoding is the lasting fix.

Are Smart IPTV and SS IPTV the same app?
No. Two separate developers publish them, even though the names sound alike. Smart IPTV connects a playlist to your TV MAC through siptv.app, while SS IPTV uses a short on-screen code that you type on its own website. Your Glomax8k M3U link works in both, so install whichever your TV store carries.
Do I pay for SIPTV again after a factory reset?
No. The licence is bound to the network MAC of the television, and a reset leaves that untouched. What a reset does remove is the saved playlist, so send your Glomax8k link to the same MAC at siptv.app/mylist and relaunch. The developer only needs to step in when a repair replaces the network board and the MAC changes.
Does one Smart IPTV payment cover all my TVs?

Can Smart IPTV play 4K or 8K channels?
It plays whatever the TV itself can decode. Most recent 4K Samsung and LG sets handle 4K HEVC streams well.
